Easter 2009

Happy Easter 2009!!!!

We hope this finds your family doing well. We have had an exceptionally busy
spring 2009. Both kids are swimming swim team. In addition, Davis is still playing hockey
twice a week and Lauren is playing spring volleyball.

I'm still working part time at Giddens Elementary through the middle of April. I potentially have a long term sub job a school near our home teaching Kindergarten from May-4-June 5th! I am
hopeful that this will be a great fit for me!

David is still busy at work, playing basketball, and working in the yard. Currently, he is unloading 12 yards of dirt on the lawn!

Happy New Year!

I can not believe that it's 2009! I am amazed at how time flies and each year I realize how important it is to make the best of each day.

David and I had a wonderful year and have truly been blessed by God's mercy and love. We have both seen his hand in everything we have done.

This year will bring us many surprises that I am confident. We are currently facing the decling health of a parent and that is never an easy road to go down. I imagine this time next year our family will potentially see the loss of a great woman.

May we each look to this year as a year of hope and peace.

Merry Christmas

So much for saying I'd post Thanksgiving week. It just flew by!

I am "officially" done with school! It was a great year and I met a wonderful group of 8 women who shared this journey with me. I passed both state exams in early fall and completed my student teaching on 12/8/08. God truly blessed me this year in giving me the energy, time and a loving family to get me through the endless weeks of studying, projects, and computer time!

I am going to begin the search for K-4 -hoping to teach 2nd or 3rd grade. I know the right school is out there and that God's timing will be perfect for the position to be available!

Here is a recent family photo taken during Thanksgiving. We went to Marble Falls Walk of Lights. It was not really planned, hence the great outfits! Wish I had knew this was going to be so cool-I'd have planned better photo ops!

Happy Halloween

It's been a busy 3 months since I posted in August! The kids are having a great year in 2nd and 5th grade.

Tonight they went Trick-or Treating and had a blast! Lauren wanted to be a Hippy and Davis wanted to be a karate/ninja man. I was proud of them because I told them I was not going to purchase a new costumer (davis did get a new sword) and they had to be creative and use what we had to dress up!

Happy Birthday!

Davis celebrated his birthday in houston on 8/1/08, with Mimi and Papa Bob, Aunt Erin, Cousins: Wyatt and Dylan. He had a blast and it's so hard to believe that 8 years ago he was born!

Some of the things that we love about Davis....

*He is very snuggly, loves to give hugs and kisses. Yet is rough and tumble.

*Is a great Ice Skater and loves to play Ice Hockey!

*Loves to ride his bike, swim, skateboard, climb trees and be outside!

*Loves to do math facts! (Crazy...he definitely got that trait from DAD!)

*He is loves to give people gifts and willing to lend money without thinking about it.

I am excited to see what 2nd grade will bring for him and the fun learning that will take place this year!

Sea World..with the Cub Scouts

Davis' Pack went to Sea World to spend the day and sleep over. They had a fun filled day in the park. They spent the evening with a quided tour for the evening behind the "scenes"..touring the "main" tanks...ending up sleeping with the sharks! (well..."resting" was all the sleep david said he got!)

Davis was one of the only boys from his den that braved the roller coasters....
