Merry Christmas

So much for saying I'd post Thanksgiving week. It just flew by!

I am "officially" done with school! It was a great year and I met a wonderful group of 8 women who shared this journey with me. I passed both state exams in early fall and completed my student teaching on 12/8/08. God truly blessed me this year in giving me the energy, time and a loving family to get me through the endless weeks of studying, projects, and computer time!

I am going to begin the search for K-4 -hoping to teach 2nd or 3rd grade. I know the right school is out there and that God's timing will be perfect for the position to be available!

Here is a recent family photo taken during Thanksgiving. We went to Marble Falls Walk of Lights. It was not really planned, hence the great outfits! Wish I had knew this was going to be so cool-I'd have planned better photo ops!

Happy Halloween

It's been a busy 3 months since I posted in August! The kids are having a great year in 2nd and 5th grade.

Tonight they went Trick-or Treating and had a blast! Lauren wanted to be a Hippy and Davis wanted to be a karate/ninja man. I was proud of them because I told them I was not going to purchase a new costumer (davis did get a new sword) and they had to be creative and use what we had to dress up!

Happy Birthday!

Davis celebrated his birthday in houston on 8/1/08, with Mimi and Papa Bob, Aunt Erin, Cousins: Wyatt and Dylan. He had a blast and it's so hard to believe that 8 years ago he was born!

Some of the things that we love about Davis....

*He is very snuggly, loves to give hugs and kisses. Yet is rough and tumble.

*Is a great Ice Skater and loves to play Ice Hockey!

*Loves to ride his bike, swim, skateboard, climb trees and be outside!

*Loves to do math facts! (Crazy...he definitely got that trait from DAD!)

*He is loves to give people gifts and willing to lend money without thinking about it.

I am excited to see what 2nd grade will bring for him and the fun learning that will take place this year!

Sea World..with the Cub Scouts

Davis' Pack went to Sea World to spend the day and sleep over. They had a fun filled day in the park. They spent the evening with a quided tour for the evening behind the "scenes"..touring the "main" tanks...ending up sleeping with the sharks! (well..."resting" was all the sleep david said he got!)

Davis was one of the only boys from his den that braved the roller coasters....

Summer '08

I can't believe that it's been a week "no school". I can't even say that I have any new pictures, how sad is that...

Davis has dived all week, but I forgot my camera.

Today was the start of swim team, but I forgot my camera.

Oh well...Monday is almost here..I'll remember then!

Come back to see my cute swimmers!

Father Daughter Dance-Girl Scouts 2008
This was the 4th year that David took Lauren to our Service Unit's Father Daughter Dance.
All but one girl from her troop went and the girls had a blast dancing! Although, David and his friend Mark noted that the girls really did not want to hang with them this year compared to years past.

Happy Easter 2008

What a gorgeous morning we woke to today! It's a bit chilly for a "pj" easter egg hunt, but we all had a great time!

Flooring

Well, we are not put back together yet, but we do have new flooring installed! We are excited to not be walking on cement! What a nightmare this whole appliance thing has been for us the past 4 months!

Hockey Time

Davis has been playing hockey for the past month and absolutely loves it! He really does well on the skates and today David took him to get his "gear". He was so excited he had to get completely geared up for a photo shoot! I will take some photos this week at practice so you can see him on the ice!
(excuse the dining room-we are in the process of tearing out the carpet from the flood at Christmas).
